Hampton & Newport News, VA | Full-Time | Starting Salary Range: $104,134 The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board is seeking a licensed and experienced behavioral health professional to lead our Youth and Family Services division. This is a high-impact leadership role for a clinician with a passion for service, strategic thinking, and operational excellence. As Director of Youth and Family Services, you will oversee a broad range of programs supporting children and adolescents in the cities of Hampton and Newport News. These include outpatient psychiatric, therapy, and substance use services; case management; therapeutic mentoring; children's crisis response; juvenile justice initiatives; and prevention services. We are looking for an experienced leader who can effectively manage multiple programs while balancing clinical and administrative demands. The Director will be responsible for program operations, personnel management, budget oversight, and compliance with regulatory and payer standards. You will also be a key member of the agency's Executive Leadership Team, contributing to agency-wide strategy and innovation. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to guide teams through change. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and capable of fostering partnerships with both internal teams and community stakeholders. A strategic mindset and commitment to quality improvement are essential, as is the ability to adapt programs to meet evolving needs in youth behavioral health. Candidates must hold an active Virginia license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP). Extensive experience in behavioral health and clinical program management is required, along with a proven record of leading multidisciplinary teams and navigating complex systems of care. The position offers a competitive starting salary range of $104,134, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
