Saturday, Frequent opportunity for overtime FB Timberline is seeking an experienced Substation Foreman (full-time, permanent) to support our operations team in South Carolina. Out-of-state candidates will be eligible for a 30/7 (30 days on, seven days off) rotation. The Substation Foreman is primarily responsible for supervising a crew of substation technicians and maintaining work sequences to meet the construction schedules for given projects. This role requires the candidate to have prior construction experience, specifically with concrete foundations. Saturday Frequent opportunity for overtime Family orientated working environment Opportunities for career growth and development Key Roles & Responsibilities: Ability to manage and maintain assigned substation crew Works to establish, adjust, and maintain work sequences to meet the construction schedule for a given project Reads and interprets blueprint specifications, contract documents, and plans Analyzes and quickly resolves any work problems that may arise and ensures that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner Leads by example, sets, monitors, and enforces the standards of FB Timberlines safety expectations Coordinates with all other crafts working on a job site to ensure smooth transitions Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned What We Are Looking For: Minimum four (4) years of experience in powerline construction is required Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing powerline or substation equipment, foundations, and structures (brownfield & greenfield) is required Demonstrated experience with reading and interpreting blueprints, building plans and installation manuals to determine material requirements and installation procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to lead, instruct, and train workers Able to work effectively within the team and around other departments and their activities Able and willing to present a valid CDL and acceptable drivers abstract Able and willing to travel to various work sites as per project/job needs Disclaimer: As per client/site requirements, candidates may be required to undergo pre-access screening.
