Cell Based Lab Technician

The Cell-Based Therapies Technician I will work on a development team to transition existing cell-based therapy laboratory methods to the GMP production facility. The Technician will be required to master common techniques and equipment such as ultracentrifugation, bioreactor production of suspension cells, NOVA chemistry and cell analyzers, COBE cell processor and others. The Technician will work in collaboration with the GMP Development Manager and staff and will use these techniques and equipment to develop the cell-based therapy methods into closed system, high-throughput, scale-able processes for the GMP production facility. Responsibilities: Works in collaboration with GMP Management and Staff to cultivate and enact the strategic direction of the CBT area including determination of schedule and project timelines/capabilities. Supports GMP resources and supply chain including maintaining materials inventory control to meet production goals. Operates and performs the calibration, validation, cleaning and maintenance of facility equipment and systems as specified in SOPs. Testing and equipment will include PCR, Flow cytometry, aseptic technique, uv-vis, and wet chemistry testing. Performs daily operational activities related to the CBT manufacturing of biological products, by executing production processes including assuring the availability of materials and the proper documentation surrounding GMP activities and product quality. Assists in process documentation review, revision, remediation and process change controls. Must Have: BS degree in a Life Science Field Minimum 6mo.-1 years of experience in the scientific industry outside of school or strong research experience from school Experience with cell culture, flow cytometry, PCR Knowledge and understanding of aseptic technique, cell culture, liquid separation techniques and/ or fluid handling. Comfortable using Microsoft Office Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
