The base salary range for this full-time position based in New York is: $160,000 - $220,000. About the Role
We're looking for a
Senior Web Engineer
to build the foundational systems that power Actively's customer-facing UI. Historically, our system has been headless - integrating recommendations directly into tools like Salesforce and Outreach. We're now expanding into owning the full UI layer to enable deeper interaction, visibility, and configurability for our customers.
You'll be at the forefront of inventing a new class of UIs purpose-built for AI agents in the revenue org - blending familiar interfaces with new interaction paradigms where AI agents act as collaborators and co-workers. Your work will form the backbone of how customers onboard, understand, trust, and use multi-agent systems at scale.
This is a high-impact, foundational role where you'll own the web stack end-to-end, work across engineering, product, and GTM, and help define the future of human-agent collaboration. What You'll Do Design, build, and own
high-quality, scalable web applications - fromReact/TypeScript frontends to coordinating with backend APIs. Invent new UI paradigms
for AI-human collaboration, including agent inboxes, chat interfaces, feedback loops, and agent debugging tools. Partner closely with product and design
to bring new features and research capabilities to life. Design and build efficient, reusable front-end systems
that power complex web applications at scale. Plan and deploy front-end infrastructure
necessary to build, test, and ship high-quality software. Own the web systems roadmap , proposing new architecture, driving technical improvements, and increasing dev velocity. Work closely with GTM stakeholders
to tailor UI experiences for customers, and build tooling that automates and accelerates customer onboarding. Collaborate cross-functionally
across engineering and customer-facing teams to ship experiences that drive measurable value. Who You Are 5+ years of experience in
web development , with a track record of building and scaling user-facing products in fast-paced environments. Strong proficiency in
TypeScript, React , and modern web architectures. Product-minded
- you care about great UX and know how to make complex things simple. Execution-oriented
- you move quickly, ship incrementally, and balance quality with speed. Comfortable
building complex systems from scratch
- even with limited existing infrastructure or constraints. Naturally
curious and self-directed , with a deep desire to learn and a talent for sharing knowledge clearly and concisely. Comfortable navigating
ambiguous and fast-changing environments , and thrive in bringing order, clarity, and structure when it's needed. Strong ability to work
autonomously , drive outcomes, and collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and GTM teams. Bonus Points Experience working with Python backend systems and APIs. Prior experience at an early-stage startup or building scalable web products from the ground up. Exposure to agentic UI systems, such as chat interfaces, agent inboxes, or task orchestration UIs. Passion for LLMs, AI agents, and building interfaces that amplify human + machine collaboration.
