The Director Of Operations reports to the Senior Director Of Operations. Seeking a seasoned and results-driven Director Of Operations with over 10 years of experience in optimizing warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics management within food distribution environments. Adept at leading high-performing teams, implementing process improvements, driving change management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role demands a results-driven leader with experience in union environments, perishable handling, and KPI accountability. Seeking to leverage their strong background in operational excellence and strategic planning to drive efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to the overall success of Gellert Global Group and the Celebrity Warehouse. Essential Functions

Operational Management: Oversee multishift operation with 40+ employees across dry, refrigerated and frozen storage zones in 2 facilities. Lead, manage and continuously improve all warehouse functions including unloading, receiving, storage, replenishment, picking, loading, shipping, scheduling, yard management, e-commerce, kitting, billing & automation. Implement, monitor and meet key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance. Staff Management: Lead hiring, training, and development of supervisors, leads, and hourly staff. Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, transparency & trust. Develop training programs, SOPs, and regularly evaluate adherence. Establish and monitor performance metrics (e.g., order accuracy, pick rates, OT hours, etc.) to improve operational output. Active performance management of individuals and teams to drive accountability. Safety And Compliance: Support and oversee programs to ensure safety of all team members, equipment and property Maintain strict adherence to food safety (FDA/USDA/HACCP), OSHA and company sanitation standards. Ensure compliance with C-TPAT and US Customs Bonded Requirements. Inventory Control: Ensure accurate inventory management and integrity. Verify cycle counts and inventory audits are being properly performed and meet internal standards. Technology Utilization: Champion the utilization and enhancement of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology solutions. Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the WMS and related systems. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency. Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to streamline warehouse operations. Budget Management: Develop and manage the warehouse operations budget, including labor, equipment, and material costs. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality. Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective order management and problem resolution. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer needs and feedback. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals. Participate in long-term planning and contribute to business development initiatives. Facility Management: Oversee maintenance staff and repair of warehouse equipment and infrastructure, including refrigeration and racking systems. Ensure the facility meets all standards for compliance, cleanliness, and safety related to both government/regulatory requirements, but also 3rd party audits. Sustainability Initiatives: Implement and promote sustainable practices within warehouse operations. Reduce waste and improve energy efficiency wherever possible. In addition to the core responsibilities listed above, this role may include other related tasks and projects as assigned to support changing business needs and contribute to the success of the team and organization. Skills And Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering, or a related field to distribution operations. Minimum of 10 years of Warehouse Operations Leadership in high volume food distribution environments with cold chain requirements At least 5 years of experience in operations and/or project management leadership. Cross-functional champion with a safety-first mindset Advanced experience with WMS systems and associated configuration. Infor WMS experience is highly desirable. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Steadfast accountability, strategic vision, and cross-functional leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, drive metrics, and manage P&L responsibilities. Experienced in driving change management and improving talent. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
