Administrative Assistant
Provides secretarial and administrative support to management and staff within ElderONE. Assists in efficiently moving information through the office and makes certain decisions, within the limits of accepted practices, usually involving administrative data to ElderONE. Is familiar and adept in a variety of office equipment. Independently conducts assigned work, determining method of completion, data and information requirements as well as analysis techniques. Regularly executes standard or on-going, and occasionally, special research and data tasks; compiles, tabulates and analyzes data, and prepares reports/recommendations for action by higher level staff or department management. May coordinate a variety of activities within or on occasion between units, sections or departments. May contact company personnel at all department or organizational levels in the completion of assignments. Work is frequently confidential and may be sensitive and/or critical in nature and requires a broad working knowledge of departmental and healthcare practices, policies, programs and services to complete. Performs other duties as assigned and may oversee the work of others performing the same or similar duties. Coordinates and schedules internal & external healthcare appointments and support services (ex: transportation, escort) as identified by the Interdisciplinary Team. May attend Morning Huddle & Care Plan Meetings to provide data input and computer support. Responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of incoming mail to Department Professionals and Managers. Ensures adequate and consistent availability of office and health care supplies for management & clinical team. Preferred Qualifications: AAS in Secretarial Science or equivalent area of study preferred or an equivalent combination of education and LTC experience preferred. 1 year experience working with the frail elderly population is preferred. Education: Licenses / Certifications: Physical Requirements: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
