Job Title
Uses knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to oversee operational functions of the treasury department to include cash management, banking relationships, management of interest rate and foreign exchange hedging, stress testing assistance and management of treasury staff. Works independently on difficult assignments that are broad in nature requiring originality. Provides comprehensive solutions to complex problems or needs. End results are evaluated for achieving goals and objectives. Extensive contact with internal and external clients and business partners. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversees cash management operations including investing, borrowing, and cash movements. Implements and supervises bank account management, including opening and closing, documentation, reporting, and problem solving. Establishes and maintains relationships with financial institutions to manage placement of business and leveraging for services, credit, and pricing. Acts as a point of contact with regard to external parties including auditors, regulators, and examiners, affiliates, financial product vendors, etc. Manages financial risk as it relates to Treasury operations and compliance. Manages bank's interest rate and foreign exchange hedging relationship. Assists in liquidity stress testing preparation and documentation. Performs human resources management activities, including identifying performance problems and seeking guidance for remedial action, reviewing performance and interviewing and selecting staff. Plans, assigns, monitors, reviews, evaluates, and leads the work of others. Coaches and mentors subordinates, identifies training needs and recommends appropriate development programs. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of banking, bank processing and automated systems, and back office operations required. Payment systems and related practices and regulations. Bank regulations and compliance. Financial services and products including stock and credit markets. Company's working structure, policies, mission, and strategies. Skill in performing advanced mathematical and statistical calculations. Reporting accounting data and information. Risk management. Preparing and presenting management reports. Interpreting and applying policies and procedures. Establishing departmental objectives. Promoting effective coordination between business unit and other functional areas. Analyzing financial information. Ability to manage, coach and mentor others. Identify training needs and develop subordinates. Perform human resources management activities. Maintain currency in banking services and products. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels, including senior management. Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives. Lead meetings and contribute to team efforts by ensuring all relevant information is included in the outcomes. Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization, including negotiation resources. Implement changes to standard procedures when required by specific situations and circumstances. Work independently making non-routine decisions to resolve complex problems. Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions.
