Water / Wastewater Mechanic
We are seeking a Water / Wastewater Mechanic for assignment in Farmington, New Mexico. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment associated with water/wastewater treatment plants. Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm. This position has an on-call schedule. This position requires a New Mexico Level II Water or Waste Water Certification. Responsibilities
- Read and record information in Maintenance Connection; work orders, and mechanical information sheets - Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles (i.e., fluid levels, belts, tires) - Perform routine onsite pump station inspections - Test auxiliary equipment (i.e., alarms, HVAC, pumps, engines, generators) - Lubricate equipment and replace filters - Assists in keeping maintenance records - Communicates effectively at all levels regarding recommended maintenance and repair procedures This position required to be available on an on-call basis for emergencies Travel between work locations is required Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED - A valid Drivers License - 1+ years experience as a Mechanic - A New Mexico Level II Water or Waste Water Certification
