As a member of the Global Operations Equipment group, you will be responsible for ideation, design, implementation of critical strategic initiatives. We have production facilities across the globe. You will help bring a strong focus to continuously improving both our team and our processes. What Do We Want to Know About You?

The materials/planning specialist provides materials management expertise to the operations team in addition to maintaining inventory accuracy, customer supplied material receipts, warehouse receiving operations, and external shipping. In this role, you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, drive process adherence, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and can affect short-term and some long-term business goals. Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university (or associate degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of operations or military experience). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, word, ppt, outlook). Strong oral and written communications skills. Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to influence others and lead small teams. Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact. Ability to coordinate one to two projects simultaneously. Strong and effective problem identification and solution skills. Proven analytical and quality/process improvement skills. Willingness to take on tough challenges and grow professionally. Due to this role directly supporting the production at the site, this role is not open for remote work and requires daily presence at start/end of the shift What Will Your Typical Day Look Like?

Provide timely resolution for discrepant and non-conforming material. Meet inventory targets including month-end and quarter-close processes for inventory in addition to achieving a high level of accuracy during yearly physical inventory. Provide clear communication and technical materials guidance to management and other Wabtec employees daily. Work as part of a cross functional team, driving a "one team" focus, dedicated to customer success within the shop. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, OSHA work practices, and industry/site-specific work rules. Work with various MRP, quality, and MES software systems to manage material and other systemic requirements. Assist supervisor in managing warehouse team members and their performance tracking. Maintain freight claims and other responsibilities aspects of warehouse quality. Coordinate with production line MTAs to ensure timely material availability. Producing and contributing to the creation of materials QMS process documents. Coordinate with program managers, customer, and third parties to ensure on time delivery of all customer supplied material. Responsible for all external shipping to customers from TXD and TXW Orgs. Drive improvement across key warehousing initiatives including picking, shipping, receiving and inventory. What About the Physical Demands of the Job?

Exposure to shop floor requires wearing PPE. Walking, climbing, stooping, bending, lifting is all part of the hands-on learning process. Ability to continuously lift 40lbs. You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
