Deputy Administrator, Court Services
The Deputy Administrator, Court Services is responsible for overseeing the finances of the Washington County courthouse. Key duties include preparing budgets, processing purchase requisitions, and tracking expenditures. Additionally, this role involves managing jury operations and acting as the coordinator for public requests related to language access and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Clerical and administrative support will be provided to this Deputy Administrator. Job Duties
Prepares purchase requisitions and tracks and resolves purchasing issues for judicial officers and court administration. Interfaces with Finance and/or Purchasing Departments as needed.
Oversees development of annual budgets for judicial departments. Prepares annual budgets for judicial officers and court administration. Coordinates review of proposed budgets for approval by the president judge.
Reviews monthly expense reports for individual judicial department budgets. Discusses findings as needed with department heads.
Overall responsibility for jury management, including development of budget, use of the jury management system, and summoning jurors.
Prepares and submits AOPC statistical reports related to jury management.
Supervises jury clerk. Provides direction and oversight for summoning of jurors.
Serves as the language access coordinator for the judicial district. Submits required statistical reports and other information as required. Tracks payment of invoices for interpreter services and submits necessary information for reimbursable expenses.
Serves as ADA coordinator for the judicial district.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, or a closely related field; AND
Two years of varied office management work, including professional-level experience in budgeting, procurement, and human resources management.
An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered.
