Security Officer
Security Officers are responsible for the safety of patrons, employees and the Wynn and Encore Property. In addition, Security Officers are responsible for ensuring all laws and policies are followed while being responsible for creating a positive guest experience by adhering to the Forbes five-star standards and the Wynn and Encore Core Values and Behaviors. Responsibilities include: Maintaining the Wynn standards of exceptional service to patrons and employees Adhering to all Forbes Five Star standards Understanding and being well-versed in the resort, hotel features and services Resolving any issues that arise from patrons or employees Promoting a positive guest experience at all times Maintaining a professional appearance at all times Enforcing safety policies and procedures Patrolling the property to observe persons and activities Performing tower door ajar calls and other calls for service Responding to calls for service and incidents of threats or acts of violence Gathering information from persons involved in security or safety incidents Performing crowd control and scene management Performing table game fills and credits Escort cash and chip transfers to and from the gaming floors Directing cash or casino chip transfers to and from slots and table fills Performing Pit Drops Knowing the location of medical bags and checking supply levels Navigating the property efficiently and conducting escorts Monitoring magnetometers for the presence of metal Maintaining security and crowd control Providing medical assistance Performing ID checks Monitoring and restricting access to areas Performing Security Lost and Found procedures Monitoring employee badge system Logging vendors/visitors in and out Being proficient in PC computer systems Communicating via radio Attending required training classes Looking for opportunities to assist peers, patrons, other departments or leaders Maintaining knowledge of gaming, state and city laws Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications include: Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written Successful completion of the Wynn Security Academy and FTO training Strong customer service skills Ability to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations A positive, "whatever it takes" attitude Problem solving & decision-making skills Ability to work alone or in a team Maintaining confidentiality of patron information and pertinent hotel data Ability to stand, sit, kneel, lift and walk indoors and outdoors for extended periods of time Passing the Security Officer practical assessment on a yearly basis A valid Nevada Gaming License, CPR and Alcohol Awareness certification Handcuffs, handcuff case, handcuff key and flashlight Being 21 years of age or older Wynn Resorts is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
