Phlebotomy Technician (Donor Center)
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an exciting potential opportunity for a Phlebotomy Technician (Donor Center) to join our team supporting the Armed Services Blood Bank Center located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, WA. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about donor care and skilled in venipuncture and blood collection procedures. Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Donor Phlebotomy program (Joint Commission or CAP) Certification as a Donor Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) Minimum of 50 successful donor or patient venipunctures Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Key Responsibilities:
Perform donor screening, blood collection, and component processing Conduct phlebotomy, take vitals, and monitor donor well-being Operate and maintain blood collection and apheresis equipment Label, process, and store specimens according to SOP and FDA guidelines Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and infection control standards Provide guidance to students and staff on proper phlebotomy techniques Support mobile blood drives and maintain donor area cleanliness This position will offer: Full Time - Monday - Friday PTO and Sick time Paid Federal Holidays Competitive hourly rate Medical / Dental / Vision / 401k This is a meaningful opportunity to serve in a military medical setting and make a difference in the lives of others through blood donation support.
