Legal Assistant
The Legal Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the legal department by providing essential support to attorneys and paralegals. Under supervision, this position assists with the preparation and management of various legal documents and administrative duties, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance within the department. This role requires strong technical proficiency and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and systems. Essential Functions
Legal Document Support Assist attorneys and paralegals with formatting, saving, and editing transactional and corporate legal documents, including leases, real estate purchase agreements, corporate organizational documents, and agreements. Draft correspondence such as memoranda, letters, and emails. Manage internal document approval processes, including routing leases and amendments for review. Manage process of obtaining signatures on a variety of legal documents from officers and executives. Organize and maintain legal documents, indexes, project files, and transaction records. Administrative Support Manage mail, fax, and delivery of legal correspondence to internal and external parties, including outside counsel. Coordinate meetings and travel arrangements. Provide front desk coverage during receptionist breaks and PTO as needed. Maintain office supplies, perform routine equipment maintenance, and coordinate repairs. Input attorney billable time and reimbursable expenses into tracking systems. Assist lease administrators with tenant insurance certificate monitoring. Data Management & Confidentiality Enter, manipulate, and create documents from rough drafts or verbal instructions. Maintain the security and confidentiality of sensitive data in accordance with relevant regulations. Other Responsibilities Demonstrate company core values consistently. Complete additional tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor or the company. Skills and Experience
Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Knowledge of office equipment, including computers and multifunction fax/copier machines. Competencies
