At Mercy Medical Center, the Nurse Educator

Senior RN supports nursing excellence through education and leadership. This role designs and delivers staff development programs, including orientation, in-service training, and continuing education. The educator serves as a mentor and resource to nursing staff, promoting evidence-based practice and professional growth. What You Will Do Lead orientation and competency-based training for nursing staff

Develop continuing education programs aligned with ANCC standards

Collaborate with nursing schools to support students and faculty

Mentor staff and identify learning needs

Support initiatives to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Valid and current Massachusetts RN license

Preferred: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Education, or related field is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Labor & Delivery or Maternity experience, with a background in teaching, curriculum development, or leadership in nursing education

Current BLS/CPR, ACLS, and NRP certifications

Instructor-level certification in BLS, ACLS, or NRP is a plus

Familiarity with ANCC standards

Experience with educational tools and teaching methods

Familiarity with Epic or other clinical documentation systems

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
