Inventory Control Supervisor
This position requires a hardworking, deadline driven individual who performs a variety of duties in receiving, issuing, handling and accounting for inventory levels. This individual should provide accurate details for on-hand inventory. The Inventory Control Technician ensures compliance with established procedures and must have excellent communication skills that support interaction between all departments. Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs daily counts of inventory and ensures inventory is accounted for Responsible to keep accurate inventory of raw materials Maintains adequate inventory levels of all raw materials, including but not limited to blue film inventory and woolpile inventory, to meet production demand. Ensures that raw materials are staged and ready for production in appropriate areas. Responsible Railcar activity and maintaining reports. Unload other raw materials from trucks and move to storage space. Responsible for material delivery system maintenance Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of material storage area Operates forklift and crane Bands empty bags, boxes, and moves such to appropriate area for disposal or recycling. All other duties as assigned Will have 10 or more direct reports Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Dependable and punctual Good planning skills and detail oriented Understanding of complex systems Ability to act independently Sense of urgency, ability to maintain accuracy and multitask. Drive and initiative. Ability to maintain a positive attitude in high-pressure situations. Basic mathematical skills Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required Proficient computer skills required At least 5 years' experience in warehouse operations with inventory handling preferred Ability to obtain forklift and crane certification Ability to successfully completed Material Handler training as it relates to railcar off loading Organizational Relationship:
Reports directly to Plant Manager Collaborates with all departments Working Conditions:
Ability to work extended hours as business needs dictate Must be able to move objects up to 50 pounds Ability to ascend or descend ladders and stairs and the like Ability to stand, sit, walk, push, pull for extended periods of time, occasionally kneeling and bending
