Location: Frisco, Colorado Copper Mountain Resort is a vacation destination located 75 miles west of Denver, Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Three vibrant, pedestrian-friendly village areas host lodging, retail outlets, restaurants, bars, and family activities. During the winter months, Copper's world-class terrain offers skiing and riding for all ages and abilities. Each summer, the mountain transforms into a playground for hikers, mountain bikers, and anyone seeking a genuine Colorado experience. Copper Mountain Resort is also home to Woodward Copper action-sports camps, programs, and training facility. Job Status: Seasonal Compensation and Benefits: Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $18.50 to $20.40+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. The Hand Crew 2 position supports the daily operations and maintenance of Woodward Copper's Terrain Parks while taking on additional leadership responsibilities. This role assists with feature builds and repairs, mentors first-year crew members, and helps ensure all park features meet safety and quality standards. Hand Crew 2 serves as an on-snow ambassador, promoting freestyle terrain etiquette and providing a positive guest experience. This position works under the supervision of Terrain Park Supervisor/Manager/Leads to maintain a high-quality park environment through proactive maintenance, teamwork, and professionalism. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists with small to mid-scale feature builds and rebuilds, including shaping transitions, lips, and landings under direction of Leads and Cat Operators. Conducts minor repairs and welding prep work on features when needed. Supports and helps lead daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring all fencing, signage, branding, and features are set to standard. Acts as a mentor for first-year crew members, training them on raking standards, safety protocols, and park etiquette. Collaborates with Supervisors and Leads to identify feature improvements or areas needing attention, communicating observations effectively. Participates in basic layout adjustments, moving rails or boxes with supervision, and assisting with measurements and placement. Monitors guest usage of features, promoting safety awareness, freestyle etiquette, and park flow management proactively. Provides daily feedback to Leads and Supervisors regarding park conditions, guest interactions, and operational needs. Assists with event builds and teardowns, demonstrating understanding of event feature standards and timelines. Demonstrates strong professionalism and leadership, representing the park crew in a positive and solution-focused manner in all interactions. Personal Attributes:

Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work in a cold alpine environment on uneven terrain for long periods of time. Must have a valid US Driver's license. Must be able to communicate with immediate supervisororal and written. Must be able to follow all policies as described in the employee handbook. Must be able to ski/ride with tools or equipment. Required to use hand tools such as rakes, shovels, drills, etc. Must be able to be on-time. Preferred Experience and Special Skills:

Minimum of 1 full season working in terrain park operations (Level 1 or equivalent at another resort). Proficiency in park maintenance tasks, including raking, edging lips and landings, and maintaining features to standard. Experience using hand tools and power tools, such as shovels, rakes, drills, and saws. Familiarity with terrain park safety protocols and freestyle risk management practices. Ability to operate snowmobiles or UTVs for park maintenance duties (with proper training and certification). Exposure to small to medium snowcat operations or shadowing grooming tasks is a plus. Strong feature evaluation and rebuilding skills, understanding takeoff and landing geometry. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity. High situational awareness in busy park environments to ensure personal and guest safety. Basic equipment maintenance knowledge, including rails, boxes, signage, and fencing. Effective problem-solving and adaptability, especially during rapid weather changes or urgent repairs. Clear communication skills with crew leads and grooming teams regarding feature needs or safety issues. Demonstrated initiative and leadership potential to guide Level 1 crew members when needed. Basic freestyle riding skills (ski or snowboard) to confidently test features within ability. Experience with guest interaction or coaching in freestyle environments is a plus.
