Assistant Research Professor
The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University in University Park, PA is seeking a non-tenure line Assistant Research Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct experimental research in dielectric polymers and high-temperature polymers. The applicant must have a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering or a related field before Penn State start date. The applicant should preferably have post-doctoral research experience beyond Ph.D. training. Experience with dielectric materials and polymers for electrical energy storage also preferred. The successful candidate must also demonstrate a strong commitment to laboratory safety and mentorship of undergraduate and graduate students. This term position is funded for one year from the date of hire with the possibility of renewal pending available funding and satisfactory performance.
