Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO-E) Engineer to join our Hot Section Engineering (HSE) Project Engineering group. The primary function of this position is to perform as an onsite engineering liaison representing Pratt & Whitney in front of our military customers. The MRO Engineer will support Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPT's) responsible for Combustor, Diffuser, Turbine, Augmentor and Exhaust Nozzle hardware across Pratt & Whitney's family of engines at Tinker AFB Oklahoma City. This position is a key role within the CIPT as it provides a direct engineering link with our domestic and foreign military customers. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Work as the onsite MRO representative of the CIPT supporting engine/hardware investigations and dispositions. Perform design and structures evaluations using PW Engineering Standard Work (ESW). Monitor and trend hardware health for limit updates, Component Improvement Program (CIP) and repair tasks activities. Provide assistance to Customer Support Engineering (CSE) and base personnel with field support, quality issues and logistics planning. Travel 10% Qualifications you must have: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) 5 years engineering experience or 3 years with an advanced degree U.S. Citizen is required, as only U.S. Citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract Qualifications we prefer: Excellent communication & collaboration skills with the ability to function across a wide range of disciplines and management levels Ability to focus on results and to drive tasks to completion with a team Knowledge of Combustor, Diffuser, Turbine, TEC, Augmentor and Nozzle hardware Knowledge of USAF maintenance procedures and processes What we offer: Benefits Relocation Assistance Hot Section Engineering is responsible for the design, development, technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases, combustors, turbines (vanes, blades, rotors and cases), augmenters (military), nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military, commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units. Technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Durability and Product Definition.
