We are seeking a Traction Power Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. AtkinsRalis is one of the world's most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies. AtkinsRalis has been providing infrastructure planning, engineering, construction, environmental consulting, urban planning, architecture, and program management services to public and private clients across the United States for more than 50 years. AtkinsRalis has the depth and breadth of expertise to respond to the most technically challenging and time-critical infrastructure projects and the urgent transition to a low-carbon economy. How will you contribute to the team? Design and review traction power systems, with a focus on third rail applications. Support construction management and field engineering during project execution. Coordinate with utility companies, transit agencies, and contractors. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates. What will you contribute? Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field. 510 years of relevant experience in traction power and third rail systems. Familiarity with IEEE traction power standards. Experience working with public transit agencies or on design-build projects. Construction experience in transit or rail infrastructure projects. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Strong communication and project coordination skills.
