Cancer Care Navigator

All the benefits and perks you need for you and your family: Benefits from Day One Paid Days Off from Day One Student Loan Repayment Program Career Development Whole Person Wellbeing Resources Schedule: Full Time Shift: Days The community youll be caring for: AdventHealth Waterman - 1000 Waterman Way, Tavares, 32778 The role youll contribute: The Cancer Care Navigator provides guidance to patients through the cancer care continuum from diagnosis through survivorship, while being the central point of contact for a patient and coordinates all components involved in cancer care. The value youll bring to the team: Assists with facilitating an evidence-based, multi-disciplinary, multi-specialty approach to cancer care across the care continuum. Assists patients in understanding their diagnosis, treatment options, and available resources, including educating eligible patients about appropriate clinical research studies and technologies. Serve as an essential link between patients and all other care providers. Facilitate appointments for consults and support services within established service standards, including specialty physicians, lab services, diagnostic services, social work, and dietitians. Works collaboratively with physicians and clinicians in navigating the cancer care patient (needs ranging from minimal to complex) from the diagnostic phase through treatment planning, medical management and surveillance/survivorship, assuring the patient has appropriate, timely medical and supportive services. The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications: Minimum three (3) years experience in Oncology Nursing or area of cancer specialty. State of Florida Registered Nurse license. AHA BLS-CPR certification. Preferred qualifications: B.S. or M.S. in Nursing from an accredited program. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or Certified Breast Care Nurse (CBCN) by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation.
