The Engineer 4 - Business Excellence collaborates with Operational Excellence and cross-functional business partners to assess, improve, and streamline existing quality management system processes. This role focuses on efficiently executing key strategic business initiatives and projects that support customer improvements. As a Quality Engineer driving business excellence initiatives for global sites, the position delivers sustainable improvements in customer complaint reduction, product quality, management systems, and services by leading and participating in improvement projects using continuous improvement methodologies. Responsibilities: Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using PDCA and DMAIC methodologies to enhance product quality and align quality management systems with evolving business needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement Complaints per Million (CPM) reduction strategies, prioritize actions, and develop execution plans. Monitor customer complaint data and trends to enable prompt corrective actions and improve global customer satisfaction. Apply the E3 framework (Engage, Enable, Empower) to ensure sustainability of improvement initiatives among employees, supervisors, and leadership. Lead teams and projects that support the reduction of CPM across global businesses, providing leadership and guidance to cross-functional managers. Conduct audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness and consistency of implemented improvements across global sites. Serve as a trusted advisor on complex technical and industry issues, offering consultation to engineering staff and management. Analyze complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors, exercising sound judgment in selecting appropriate methods and criteria. Mentor junior engineers, fostering professional growth and technical development. Engage actively with and inspire teams that integrate multiple functions and disciplines to drive business impact. Identify risks and manage the impact of process changes across different areas to avoid major delays and loss of business. Essential Skills: Expertise in quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in PDCA and DMAIC methodologies. Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate complex issues. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and projects. Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Familiarity with APQP, control plans, and FMEAs. Knowledge of industry advancements and ability to apply new knowledge to improve products and processes. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $125,000.00 - $150,000.00/yr.
