Technical Intern Position
Raytheon's Air Launched Effectors Department is currently searching for a Technical Intern to work on a multi-disciplined team supporting the design and/or production support of Air Launched Effectors products and subsystems. What You Will Do Supporting concept development, detailed design, analysis, integration and test, support of transition to production efforts, factory production line support and product improvement. Additional duties may include root cause / corrective action and problem resolution at our on-site labs and factories or at various suppliers. Candidate will work closely with Integrated Product Team Leads/Program Managers to ensure that engineering requirements are defined, risks are managed, and schedules/budgets are met. You will work within the process to ensure Technical Data Package quality per ASM Y14.5. You will work under supervision of an Engineering team lead in performing your duties. As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, your decisions will be data driven in nature and require preparing technical justification analysis reports as well as presenting to a variety of Engineering Review Boards. 3D Parametric Modeling Communication of technical information by way of presentations and other means Qualifications You Must Have This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their sophomore year by the start of Summer 2026. Must be pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field. Qualifications We Prefer ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 Experience with Creo modeling and drafting Experience with Windchill and configuration management What We Offer Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
