We're looking for a Financial Operations Analyst to work directly with our CEO to support financial reporting, improve workflows, and drive smarter decision-making across our fast-growing business. This is not a traditional finance team roleour existing accounting team handles day-to-day bookkeeping and compliance. Instead, this role is about problem-solving, process optimization, and helping leadership scale an evolving media company. Responsibilities
Be the CEO's financial right hand
Help track financial performance, support decision-making, and drive operational efficiencies. Support financial reporting & month-end closes
Ensure accuracy, identify insights, and refine reporting structures. Streamline and automate financial processes
Improve budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis (bonus if you can integrate AI to help us scale!). Liaise with the finance/accounting team
Work closely with internal finance but stay focused on strategy & operations, not bookkeeping. Build financial models & insights
Support leadership with scenario planning, business case development, and revenue analysis. Organize & manage financial data
Cross-check data across spreadsheets and reporting systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency across the organization. Help scale a fast-growing business
Work across multiple revenue streams, adapt to changing priorities, and bring a problem-solving mindset to financial workflows. Qualifications
3-5 years of finance, FP&A, business operations, or strategy experience Experience with month-end financial closes and reporting Strong Excel & financial modeling skills (but must be adaptable in a startup setting) Problem-solver who enjoys optimizing financial workflows rather than just maintaining them Interest in new media, entertainment, or digital content is a plus Comfort in a fast-moving, evolving business structure with multiple revenue streams AI/Machine Learning experience is a bonus, especially for automation Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field Must be able to work in our Los Angeles office 2-3 times per week Why Join Flighthouse?
