Director of the Company Scholars Program

The Director of the Company Scholars Program will lead and manage all aspects of this high-impact, four-year scholarship program for students from Jesuit and Cristo Rey high schools attending Fairfield University. This position is responsible for shaping a student-centered experience rooted in Jesuit values, academic excellence, and community engagement. The Director will oversee program development, student support, mentoring initiatives, budget management, and collaborative efforts across campus. The Company Scholars Program honors the legacy of St. Ignatius of Loyola and the Society of Jesus. It supports exceptional students from Jesuit and Cristo Rey high schools through: A four-year, full-cost scholarship A six-credit Academic Immersion summer bridge program Faculty and peer mentorship Academic and career advising Research and study abroad opportunities Group fellowship and community support Key Responsibilities Lead all operations and strategic direction of the Company Scholars Program Provide holistic support for scholars, ensuring academic success, personal development, and community connection Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and student services to deliver integrated support systems Manage program communications, data tracking, outcomes assessment, and reporting Coordinate summer immersion, mentoring, and leadership development components Supervise staff and/or student workers as needed Develop and oversee the budget in collaboration with the Vice President Serve as the primary liaison between scholars, families, high schools, and university stakeholders Represent the program at university events and in recruitment and outreach efforts Foster an inclusive and affirming community aligned with Jesuit and institutional values Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in education, student affairs, social sciences, or a related field 57 years of progressively responsible experience in higher education Demonstrated success in student development, academic advising, or program management Strong commitment to access, equity, and the mission of Jesuit higher education Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Experience working with first-generation, low-income, and/or underrepresented students Preferred Qualifications Prior experience directing a cohort-based or scholarship program Knowledge of Jesuit education and Cristo Rey school networks Familiarity with data tracking systems, grant writing, or donor relations Fairfield University provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
