Digital Channel Production Associate - Health Sciences Library

Working closely with the Health Sciences Library's Marketing Manager, the Digital Content Specialist focuses on planning, creation, management, and analysis of compelling content for digital channels to align with The Ohio State University, Wexner Medical Center, Health Sciences Library (HSL) and EdTech Incubator (ETI) priorities and overall marketing strategy. Responsible for ideation and production of a wide variety of digital content, including social media posts, email marketing, graphics, and short-form videos, to raise awareness of and engagement with the HSL and its services, programs, and initiatives.

Identifies ways to build compelling and engaging digital content for key audiences, with the user experience in mind.

Develops content in support of campaigns to promote the HSL and ETI, and builds engagement with key audiences. Implements a strong brand voice in all content.

Measures and reports performance of digital marketing campaigns, assessing against goals. Collaborates with the Marketing Manager to set campaign goals aligned with overall marketing strategy, and after campaigns, identifies trends and insights to inform future efforts.

Assists in creation and management of social media calendar.

Researches best practices and new approaches in digital content marketing and social media.

Identifies and develops key visual elements for use in content marketing/social media networks.

Develops collaborative relationships with HSL and ETI constituents to leverage HSL interdisciplinary engagement and to promote and advance HSL and ETI goals.

Supervises student staff as needed.

This position is temporary in nature and has a fixed term of 1 year. Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree in journalism or communications or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a marketing or digital communications environment. Required Experience: 2 years of demonstrated experience managing multiple organizational social media accounts, digital communications, and video production across common social media networks. Experience with content management systems, video shooting/editing skills, basic graphic design skills, content generation, and copywriting. Strong writing skills, organization, and meeting deadlines. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
