UX / Product Designer (Contract)

Arcade is looking to bring on additional design talent to help us reach our very ambitious goals. We have a large slate of work right now for you to help out with, and a successful partnership would see continued work going forward. What You Will Do
Arcade seeks a freelance/contract designer who excels at thinking through complex scenarios, wrangling messy business logic, and can confidently express a design to a team of engineers and product folk. You'll ask the big questions up front that will save the team a lot of time down the line. You're a product designer or a UX designer, or something similartitle doesn't matter. We're a startup that moves incredibly fastwe're looking for a designer who is able to digest a product need quickly, and optimize for different things, depending on the project. Across all of your work, you're demonstrating clean, consistent visuals. You'll work with our head of design, Alex, but will frequently present work (in various states of completion) to, and collaborate with, a larger segment of the team. We prefer that this person is able to come into our sunny Presidio, SF office at least 1-2 days a week. Responsibilities
Design for the Arcade web applicationalways accounting for mobile and desktop You'll take on a range of projects, but you're very comfortable working with complex flows and logic. You'll work with design, product and engineering, to take projects from 0?1, and sometimes from 0.75 ?1 You'll review implemented work and give feedback to engineers Propose ideas for improving our productwhen you're working with us, you're a member of our team! Qualifications
Mid / Senior level of experience You're very confident working in Figmawith Autolayout; Familiarity with prototyping features is a plus. Able to take a brief / set of requirements and run with it; If something is unclear, you're quickly asking for clarification or suggesting a solution. Very strong communication skills Can take feedback from design, product, and engineering, and turn it into next steps. A portfolio you're proud of, showcasing strong UX fundamentals. Experience with AI and/or ecommerce is a bonus. You're excited to work with a fast paced team on a very exciting product!
