Compliance Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities: Hires and trains new employees. Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned team. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. The Compliance Manager ensures legal standards and in-house policies/procedures are initiated, maintained, and enforced. Responsible to enforce regulations in all aspects and levels of the business as well as provide guidance on compliance matters. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other Duties not listed may be assigned. Data Analysis/Communication/Issue Resolution Prevention - % of Job 80% Develop, implement, and oversee control systems. Evaluate the efficiency of the controls and ensure continuous improvement. Identify risks and non-conformity issues. Collaborate with all departments to monitor the enforcement of standards and regulations. Review the work of others to identify compliance issues and to provide training and advice. Schedule and conduct systematic audits of all facilities and processes. Act as Company spokesperson during all outside audits. (OHSA, Fire Inspection, FAA, IECeX, City/County/State regulatory agencies, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO18001, etc.) Constantly monitor regulatory developments within and outside of the Company. Develop and implement best practices in compliance control. Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards by evaluating or recommending investigations. Develops and oversees a system for uniform handling of such violations. Provides detailed reporting on a regular basis to senior management. Institutes and maintains effective compliance communication programs. Attend seminars, conferences, workshops, exhibits, to support compliance efforts. Maintains effective relationships with all departments. Works with Human Resources and others as appropriate to develop effective compliance training programs, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers. Develops and maintains databases for systematic storage and retrieval of documentation. Responsible for contracting and management of on-site security staffing. Includes monitoring facilities camera surveillance. Other duties as assigned. Warehouse Efficiencies Cost Reduction - % of Job 10% Implements warehouse efficiencies and cost reduction programs to assist the company in making better merchandise flow decisions by conducting thorough analysis on key areas which are causing product and delivery issues. Builds and maintains a work environment that is positive and is supported by open feedback and two-way communication at all levels. Team Leadership - % of Job 10% Responsible for maintaining a positive work environment while supporting the companys culture. Responsible for fostering a healthy and safe work environment, focusing on the well-being of all associates. Maintains and strengthens internal, external customer, and supplier relationships. Communicates and works well with all business partners. Ensures inventory management and merchandise allocation flows product through the warehouse in the most cost efficient and productive manner. Qualifications

Education and/or Experience A Bachelors degree in business administration, organizational management, or regulatory compliance is required; Masters degree is preferred. A minimum of ten years experience in compliance is required and includes demonstrated leadership. Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations is necessary. Experience in managing ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO18001 accreditation is necessary. Requires advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills. Applicable certifications are a plus. Essential Skills: Require excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels using a variety of methods. Able to network and express information and ideas in a manner that is appropriate, accurate, and concise. Needs the ability to solve problems and make decisions quickly. Must be detail oriented and have excellent attention to detail. Must have in-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations. Requires excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping. Requires analytical mindset and the ability to comprehend complex procedures and regulations. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period of time while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
