The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Accounting Manager. This person is responsible for assisting in the overall fiscal control of the organization, including, but not limited to, accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliations, receipts, disbursements, auditing, and maintaining fixed assets. The Senior Accountant will review the Staff Accountants' work and support the Accounting Manager during the month end and year end close. Job Responsibilities

Responsible for preparing journal entries and maintaining accounting records related to unrestricted operating activity. Coordinate with other departments to ensure month-end closing activities are completed on a timely basis. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including, but not limited to cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed asset, deferred revenue, and accrual accounts monthly. Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies. Maintain schedules for monthly and quarterly review in preparation for the annual audit. Interact directly with auditors and provide supporting documentation as needed. Prepare quarterly Performer Withholding Tax Filings. Prepare and reconcile payments to foreign individuals for Form 1042-S reporting. Assist Accounting Manager in researching Trial Balance fluctuations. Prepare and distribute biweekly Cash Report. Conduct ad hoc analyses. Adhere to standard internal control procedures for all aspects of accounting. Periodic review of Finance procedures to help implement improvements to maintain efficient and effective controls. Train and mentor Staff Accountant and assist with the Staff Accountants' responsibilities during busy periods. All other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager. Preferred Qualifications

Not-for-profit accounting experience. Experience with Workday preferred, ERP System experience required. Knowledge of best practices and ability and eagerness to design and apply such to current environment.
