Assembly Compressor/Tester
Our organization works with partner companies to source qualified talent for their open roles. The following position is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. If you have the required skills, education requirements, and experience, please follow the next steps. A Snapshot of Your Day: Starting everyday with a safety brief on daily activities. Assignments will be given of what project and tasks are scheduled for the day. Daily tasks will range from inventorying/inspecting parts, assembling compressors to setting up/tearing down test loops and compressors for test. You will work independently and in a group environment. How You'll Make an Impact: Review assembly instructions, specs and blueprints. Inventory, clean and visually inspect all components and stage all equipment needed for assembly and safely offload incoming parts off transport using proper lifting/rigging equipment and techniques. Perform measurements and adjustments as necessary for correct tolerances, record measurements for review. Notify management/engineering of issues and deviations from print and regularly carry out and document simple maintenance and cleaning work according to the specifications or maintenance plan. Carry out minor repair within the scope of the available expertise. Work with management/engineering to refine assembly best practices and train less experienced Assembly Technician. Use micrometer and indicators to measure tolerances to +/-0.001", hand tools, air grinders and overhead lifting devices. Set-up Compressor test stand for unit testing. Assist test team monitoring and testing compressors. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
