Manufacturing Engineer
The Manufacturing Engineer develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods. Utilizes knowledge of product design, materials, tooling, fabrication process, and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Duties and responsibilities include: Analyze and plan workforce utilization and workflow. Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes. Communicate with customers to determine specifications of components. Participate in quoting process. Support Control Plan (CP) development, including inspection methodology, prevention controls, detection controls, reaction plans, inspection frequency rationale, and ongoing monitoring. Understand project schedules for all projects that are within the department. Preferred education: 4 Year/Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience
3-5 years experience with Manufacturing Engineering work. Key skills and abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer teaming and interpersonal aptitude. Strong computer skills including excellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Minitab skills. Ability to determine and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Analytical thinking skills. Strong problem solving, decision making, and process improvement skills. Proficient blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge. Physical demands: Frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Use hand/fingers to grasp/pinch/grip. Occasional climbing (stairs/ladders) or balancing. Occasional stoop, knee, crouch, or crawl. Occasional operating of machine and/or hand power tools. Compensation
