Warehouse Lead And Junior Cad Drafter
This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day warehouse operations in support of a dedicated customer program focused on inventory management, refurbishment, and light manufacturing. Key responsibilities include inventory control, receiving, storage, and material movement, with a strong emphasis on safety, operational efficiency, and meeting customer deadlines. The role also ensures accurate data management within the ERP system and supports overall product quality goals. In addition to warehouse operations, this position is accountable for providing accurate CAD drawings and design files based on company and customer standards. This includes proactively maintaining and updating documentation required for the manufacturing of products, jigs, templates, and files for CNC/manual machine operations or hand work. The ability to manage multiple CAD projects while communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders is essential for success in this role. Essential Functions
Warehouse Lead:
Coordinate safe and efficient receipt, storage, inventory, and dispatch of customer goods. Ensure materials are stored properly, conserving space and complying with safety regulations. Oversee proper staging of inventory to support refurbishment and light manufacturing. Support and enforce safety protocols and standard operating procedures. Inventory Control:
Maintain accurate inventory records in WMS and ERP systems. Take part in physical inventory counts, both routine and customer initiated. Control and monitor customer inventory, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed. Refurbishment Program Oversight:
Oversee the supply and staging of materials for fabrication, assembly, and sub-assembly processes. Ensure materials are properly staged for inspection, counting, and receiving. Monitor and manage paperwork flow, including invoices, packing slips, and receipt documentation. Coordinate with customer Project Managers on scheduling and forecasts. Generate necessary documentation (e.g., delivery receipts) and coordinate with drivers for pickups, returns, and loop logistics. Confirm materials are received and logged correctly in inventory systems. Support Work Order entry and production tracking in the ERP system. Coordinate as needed with customer contacts to schedule pickups, deliveries, or program-specific setup activities. Serve as a point of contact for basic alignment, while escalating customer communications to the appropriate Project Manager as needed. Essential Functions
Junior CAD Drafter:
Develop and maintain CAD drawings to support sales, manufacturing, and equipment operations (e.g., water jet, die press, band saw). Interpret specifications and instructions to produce accurate designs, update existing files, and ensure clear communication with vendors. Collaborate with production and quality teams to support first article inspections and optimize material usage for safe, efficient manufacturing. Review and analyze customer-provided samples to generate precise CAD files and related documentation. Assist with other design-related tasks as needed to meet project, customer, and operational requirements. Marginal Functions:
Other duties may be assigned. Supervise special continuous improvement projects as needed. Attendance must be expected and reliable. Attend required meetings and lead them as required. Communicate efficiently with management and other team members. Report creation. Encourage and motivate teamwork. Organized and detail oriented. May perform individual contributor roles alongside team members. Education/Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
High School diploma or GED preferred (Associate in Business Administration preferred). Minimum 6 months to one year of experience in the individual contributor role. May require technical expertise such as maintaining certifications or licenses, in order to properly train team members in proper handling (forklift, driver, pallet jack, nail gun skills). Strong teamwork and communication skills to build a high performing team. Role model of TransPak culture and operating procedures. Demonstrated attention to detail, deadline-driven, continuous improvement behaviors. Computer skills Able to lift 50 lbs. Bilingual: English and Spanish desired.
