This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading team that provides environmental solutions to the public and private sectors throughout the State of Maryland. Maryland Environmental Service (MES) has an opening for an Electrician to Lead Electrician to join the Technical and Environmental Services Group at the BWI Marshall Airport field office. Responsibilities include performing installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment used for a variety of projects at BWI and Martin State Airports as well as other MES operated facilities throughout the state. This field office is a designated 24/7 emergency essential facility. Therefore, the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during adverse weather conditions will be required. Estimated Pay Range: Electrician: $50,233.92 - $69,070.88 Senior Electrician: $55,256.40 - $75,978.12 Lead Electrician: $60,782.49 - $83,575.93 Benefits: Health Insurance with choice of medical plan and prescription, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance options, along with flexible spending accounts 401K retirement savings program with generous agency match Paid vacation, personal and sick leave Ten paid holidays per year Tuition assistance Minimum Requirements: All position levels require graduation from a standard high school or possession of a GED equivalent certificate. All must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points and the ability to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance. All must be able to lift 50 pounds. Additional Requirements: Electrician

Requires three (3) years of experience performing installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment. Senior Electrician

Requires five (5) years of experience. Lead Electrician

Requires seven (7) years of experience, plus two (2) years of supervisory experience, and possession of a journeyperson license that is valid in the State of Maryland. Formal training from an accredited vocational school with a major in a related field of study may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis for up to three (3) years of the required experience.
