The Executive Event Producer leads a critical area of responsibility within Mayo Clinic's Event Production unit and serves as the principal liaison between the Executive Office and the cross-functional event production team. This individual plays a pivotal role in advancing Mayo Clinic's strategic priorities by ensuring alignment, clarity, and excellence across enterprise-level events involving the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, Chief of Staff, and other senior executive leaders. The Executive Event Producer operates at the intersection of strategic planning and technical execution, applying expert knowledge of event production and executive operations to facilitate impactful, high-visibility engagements. This individual brings a calm, solutions-oriented presence to high-pressure situations and fosters collaboration and trust across stakeholders and teams. The role will supervise direct reports and requires a strong command of both event operations and organizational awareness, as well as the ability to translate complex strategic goals into actionable execution plans. This position supports a growing need for scalable executive event processes and real-time alignment across Mayo Clinic's enterprise. As a strategic leader and team player, the Executive Event Producer demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to partnership with executive leadership. Key Responsibilities: Serves as a strategic liaison between the Executive Office and Event Production and is the primary contact for escalations and resolution. Supports the senior producer and the production team during high-stakes events, ensuring real-time alignment between executive stakeholders and production leaders. Advances a long-term strategy for executive events by moving from ad hoc execution to a consistent and repeatable operating framework. Maintains strong relationships with the Chief of Staff, executive assistants, senior event producers, and operational teams to enable seamless delivery. Provides timely, constructive feedback and fosters a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement. Brings enterprise awareness, situational fluency, and composure to fast-paced and high-pressure environments. Travel regularly and is present on-site for key events involving executive leadership. Qualifications
Twelve (12) years' corporate video production experience or an associate degree in a media-related field and a minimum of ten (10) years' corporate video production experience required. A bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred) in a media-related field and a minimum of eight (8) years' corporate video production experience preferred. Must have a highest level of emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills to be able to effectively interact with senior level Mayo Clinic personnel and numerous non-Mayo professionals and benefactors. Demonstrated skills in script development and review, mentoring colleagues, resource management, team collaboration, and understanding of Mayo's committee structure. Strong knowledge in all aspects of studio and field television production, including producing and directing with significant proficiency in the use of video cameras, lighting equipment, related video production and editing. Proficient in managing large video crews during major video productions. Works independently in completion of job responsibilities. Proven problem-solving and organizational skills with ability to translate ideas of medical professionals into finished high-quality programs. Demonstrated understanding and proficiency in the complete process of program development from concept through distribution and billing. Knowledge and understanding of current media technologies and challenges; and able to communicate and develop strategies to help the Unit meet those challenges. Exemption Status
