JOB TITLE: MIG/TIG WelderJOB SUMMARYThe MIG/TIG Welders are responsible for the fabrication and welding of aluminum and stainless steel.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTSAt least 1 year of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying and measuring materialAt least 1 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances Must be able to lift 50lbsPREFERRED SKILLSAt least 3 years of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment preferred Forklift certification preferredCORE DUTIESPerform MIG and TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions. Examines weld for bead size and other specificationsRepair broken or cracked parts and fill holesPosition and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixturesSelect torch, torch tip, filler ford, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of materialPerform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in weldingHOURS1st shift positionMonday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.Overtime as neededSPECIAL REQUIREMENTSCandidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen.
