Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
About the Role:
As a Computer Systems Operator, you'll be responsible for supporting the health and performance of our core IT systems. From batch cycle oversight to incident management and job scheduling, you'll be a vital part of our Infrastructure and Operations team. This full-time, non-exempt role includes both remote and limited onsite work, with occasional night and weekend shifts.
What You'll Do:
  • Monitor mainframe operations and triage incidents using SBM and JCL.
  • Track and address failed batch cycle jobs in Control-M across Non-Prod and Production environments.
  • Coordinate and schedule deployments in Octopus Deployment Software.
  • Administer Mobius View reports and manage the report archive.
  • Perform Bim Edit work and occasional backup support for large system printers onsite.
  • Collaborate across IT teams to address and resolve system issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for all procedures and processes.
  • Ensure timely resolution of incident management tickets and service requests.
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing training as needed.
  • Support other duties as assigned by leadership.
Additional Role Highlights:
  • This position requires occasional third-shift (overnight) work for month-end processing (once every six months).
  • One Saturday shift every two months is required.
  • Initial training will be onsite in Hastings, Michigan, followed by remote work with minimal future onsite requirements.
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree a plus.
  • A+ or other technical certifications are desirable.
  • Familiarity with Control-M Job Scheduling Software is highly preferred.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail are a must.
  • Experience in IT operations is helpful, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC-based systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
  • Dependability, punctuality, and flexibility to work varied shifts as needed.
  • Comfortable with both standard keyboard and 10-Key typing.
