An established electrical contractor in NYC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major infrastructure projects across DOT, MTA, and PANYNJ . This is a hands-on leadership role, overseeing complex electrical scopes within heavy civil environments-bridges, tunnels, transit stations, highways, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of heavy civil electrical construction projects from start to finish.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and manpower plans.
- Coordinate with agency representatives, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Lead contract administration, procurement, and RFI/change order processes.
- Ensure compliance with NYC codes, union labor practices, and safety standards.
- Oversee monthly billing, WIP reporting, and cost tracking.
- Resolve conflicts and keep the project on time and within scope.
- 5+ years of project management experience in electrical construction for public works or infrastructure.
- Strong working knowledge of DOT, MTA, or PANYNJ standards and contract requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Viewpoint, Procore, or Bluebeam .
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or similar preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
