Account Executive, Business Development
Position Overview:
The Chicago Bulls are seeking a Business Development Account Executive in Corporate Partnerships to grow and develop new business through partnerships for the organization. As an Account Executive, you will develop and sell integrated corporate partnerships consisting of the Chicago Bulls, United Center, Windy City Bulls, and Chicago Bulls Charities assets including but not limited to IP rights, in-arena signage, digital and social advertising, corporate hospitality, custom promotions, community impact programming, and more.
This individual will contribute in growing the organization's corporate partnerships revenue by building key local and national relationships to close new business and by supporting existing clients to ensure long-term partnerships.

The base salary range for this role is $45,000-55,000 annually + structured bonus and is commission eligible. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will support the team's business development efforts, with particular emphasis on securing new partnerships in assigned categories. Responsibilities include:
- Identify viable, qualified prospects through outreach and networking and maintain a consistent 'pipeline' of potential business in assigned categories throughout the year
- Manage the sales process from initial touchpoint through contract execution while meeting and exceeding individual and team goals
- Build customer relationships through strategic conversations to understand a prospect's business objectives; perform a basic client needs analysis with prospective partners and mirror those objectives with a custom Chicago Bulls and/or United Center partnership proposal that drives value for both the partner and our organization
- Lead category strategy and proposal development with the ability to present each world-class proposal in a professional and persuasive manor
- Maintain consistent activity in Bulls CRM system
- Work closely with the Bulls Partnership Marketing team to renew and grow partnership categories assigned
- Entertain clients and prospects at Chicago Bulls home games and additional special events, as well as servicing and supporting Bulls and United Center clients year-round
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with current and future Bulls corporate partners, and with all members of the Chicago Bulls organization
- Assist in the execution of various organizational functions, special projects, and other duties as assigned
We are seeking an individual with a strong business development background and knowledge of strategic account management, sales process, and solution selling. In addition, you will be a strong contributor to the team if you have a mix of the following:
- Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience with a 2-year minimum of full-time sales and/or sponsorship experience
- Proven prospector with a track record of securing initial meetings and phone calls
- Preferred proficiency in brand marketing and integrated partnerships
- Desire to work as a collaborative, self-starter
- Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility to work within a constantly evolving environment
- Ability to communicate articulately and confidently both verbally and in writing with individuals at every level of the organization
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- We offer a hybrid schedule offering workplace flexibility. Full-time remote work is not an option for this role and interested applicants should be currently located in or prepared to move to the Chicagoland area.
- This role will require a flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
