The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and room patients in a professional and welcoming manner
- Take and record vital signs accurately
- Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and administer vaccines
- Conduct EKGs and perform point-of-care (POC) testing
- Manage scheduling and handle incoming phone calls
- Assist in maintaining patient records using an EMR system
- Support both clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient operations
- Promote a supportive, educational atmosphere for patient outreach and engagement
- Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience (excluding externship)
- Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
- Occupational Health experience is a strong advantage
- Proficiency with phlebotomy/venipuncture and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is required
- Experience with Athena EMR is highly desired
- Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and solid computer skills
- Enthusiastic about working in a setting where patient education and health outreach are key priorities
