As an Engineering Project Manager at our premier defense technology firm, you will spearhead the development and delivery of next-generation guidance and control systems for the U.S. military. You will drive the technical vision and innovation while managing cross-functional engineering teams. This role requires strong leadership, significant technical acuity, and a rigorous focus on meeting customer commitments under stringent timelines. Salary: $165,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver complex engineering projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes within agreed timelines and budget.
• Direct the technical strategy, operational planning, and development of guidance and control systems.
• Manage program technical performance aligned with cost, scope, and schedule to ensure integration, testing, and verification of project requirements.
• Lead the resolution of technical issues, ensuring solutions are communicated clearly and implemented effectively.
• Develop and maintain detailed engineering plans, risk assessments, and potential opportunities.
• Oversee adherence to engineering processes, standards, and practices specific to the program.
• Interact and present project progress to senior company leadership and clients, ensuring high levels of transparency and stakeholder engagement.
• Engage with functional managers to effectively allocate and manage project team resources.
• Conduct periodic reviews to monitor project status and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Inspire and lead a high-performing engineering team; provide continuous feedback and manage performance to achieve project and organizational goals.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field within Science, Engineering or Mathematics.
• A minimum of 8 years relevant experience, or 6 years with a Master's degree.
• Proven background in system engineering and successful leadership of engineering projects.
• Experience with cost, scheduling, and technical management.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.
• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance; preference for current clearance holders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in leading developmental and production systems for U.S. Defense applications.
• Advanced knowledge in current and next-generation military technologies and systems.
• Expert understanding of target detection, acquisition, and prosecution systems.
• Strong foundations in working with acoustic sensors, signal processing, and cyber security in control systems.
• Track record of applying innovative problem-solving skills in complex environments.
