Pay: $22.80 - $29.64/hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
As a Lead Sterile Processing Technician, you will guide your team with advanced knowledge and hands-on support for their responsibilities, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development, implementation, and assessment of departmental policies and procedures.
- Mentor and evaluate team members’ performance, focusing on productivity and quality management while promoting a positive team environment.
- Coordinate services, manage assignments and workflow, and encourage effective decision-making and problem-solving.
- Assist in supply ordering and track production and quality metrics within the department.
- Perform essential tasks and guide team members in addressing complex issues, demonstrating critical thinking and decisive judgment.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Completion of a Medical Terminology course.
- Certification as a CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician).
- Preferred: One additional certification such as Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL), Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS), or Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER).
- At least 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
