As a Field Sales Executive, you will play a key role in nurturing customer relationships and fueling business growth. Your responsibilities will include developing existing accounts and prospecting for new business, all driven by your passion, performance, and partnership skills—all while enjoying earning potential and incentives!
Your Responsibilities as a Field Sales Executive:
Champion Customer Relations: Take ownership of customer relationships in a team-oriented sales environment. Educate clients on ordering platforms and provide insights on menus, product recommendations, and pricing strategies to ensure their success.
Achieve Sales Goals: Your performance will be assessed based on sales achievements, case growth, and new client acquisition. Master the art of impactful sales presentations, tailoring your approach based on individual customer needs. Efficient time and territory management is essential.
Collaborative Selling: Work closely with our Specialists to maximize penetration opportunities and assist with new account development. Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and customer service teams to guarantee smooth product delivery.
Insightful Business Development: Identify potential customers using market intelligence databases and business directories. Follow up on leads from current clients, engage in community organizations, and participate in trade shows and conferences to create new business opportunities.
Delivery Management: Oversee delivery schedules provided by the transportation department and address any issues that arise during the ordering process, including delivery discrepancies or inventory shortages.
Market Savvy: Stay informed about market conditions, product developments, and competitor offerings. Share knowledge with clients as part of the value-added services we provide.
On the Move: Drive your own vehicle for regular customer interactions, site visits, and follow-ups to maximize customer satisfaction.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Daily work in the field visiting customers in the Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg areas, adapting to various weather and temperature conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1+ years of sales experience preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver's license is required, with a good standing motor vehicle record.
Experience in the foodservice industry, culinary arts, restaurant management, or hospitality preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities.
A proven ability to build relationships and effectively cold call to develop new business.
Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
A strong competitive drive to exceed sales goals.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills.
A collaborative spirit to work effectively with internal and external partners.
Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce is advantageous.
Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
