osition: Legal Assistant Location: Indianapolis, IN Plunkett Cooney is seeking a detail-orientated legal assistant to join our Indianapolis office. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in all stages of litigation, ensuring the efficient handling of administrative and case management in a fast-paced legal environment. To be considered, a candidate must: Have at least 2-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably in a law firm setting. Be proficient in legal document preparation, file management, typing/word processing, telephone coverage, scheduling, and other administrative duties. Have experience in preparing pleadings and simple motions. Be familiar with state and federal electronic court filing (e-filing). Experience with a document management system, iManage preferably. Demonstrate strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Be responsible for calendaring all case deadlines, including Calendaring Case Management Orders, depositions, and court appearances. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion. Be proactive, reliable, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with legal billing software and time entry systems. Ability to review and proofread legal documents. Experience in coordinating court filings and communication with court personnel. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
