Responsibilities The Business Operations Assistant will assist with basic business operations of University Dining. This requires working with a variety of software programs including Foodservice Suite/NetMenu, EventMaster, WISER, Microsoft Excel and others that connect food service, commerce activities, and the business operations of University Dining. Many of these programs are also utilized in other departments across the UWSP campus to enhance and optimize their business operations. This position will assist with data entry, counting deposits, running reports, processing payments, and procurement activities Specific Duties Perform basic operations within various software programs.Data entry of invoices from vendors.Process invoices for payment.Run reports in various systems.Count deposits for dining locations.Assist in procurement processes.Attend mandatory staff meetings.Complete University Dining Orientation and all mandatory trainings.Follow policies outlined in the University Dining Student Employment Handbook.Other duties and projects as assigned.Qualifications This position is ideal for a student with an interest in learning more about University Dining's business operations.Must be able to work 10-12 hours per week. Once trained, alternative weekday (early morning or evening hours) and weekend shifts could be permissible.Demonstrated leadership abilities, good interpersonal skills, strong oral communication skills, and active listening skills.High attention to detail and accuracy.All applicants must be at least a part-time student (enrolled in at least 6 undergraduate or 5 graduate credits) and be in good academic standing (cumulative and semester GPAs of 2.0 or higher).Applicants must pass a criminal background check (only criminal activity directly pertaining to the position description will be evaluated.)Successful applicants must pass all UWSP mandatory trainings along with unit specific trainings as part of their employment onboarding.Upon the completion of the eight-week probationary period, the staff supervisor will conducta performance evaluation with results impacting the students' future employment status.
