clean, organized, and well-prepared equipment ? Are you ready to
lead a small but growing team while building systems that keep a busy operations yard running smoothly?
If you're

About Us MNL is a full-service ecological restoration company dedicated to Healing the Earth. Our services include native seed and plant production, shoreline construction and wetland restoration, prescribed burns, conservation grazing, vegetation management, and ecological consulting. We also support solar and infrastructure projects with pollinator-friendly practices and land stewardship expertise. Our construction and vegetation management crews depend on fully prepped equipment to do their best work-and our evening yard operations play a critical role in making that happen.
The Opportunity We're hiring an
Equipment & Yard Supervisor

to oversee our evening yard operations at our
Otsego, MN
location. This role is responsible for ensuring all trucks, trailers, tools, and heavy equipment are cleaned, fueled, organized, and ready for deployment. You'll directly supervise a small (but growing) team while also working alongside them to complete hands-on tasks. In addition to equipment prep, we're looking for someone who can help develop and implement yard procedures, like checklists for equipment inspections, inventory control practices, and standard work for evening closeout. If you're mechanically inclined, organized, and ready to lead, this role offers a chance to shape a critical piece of our operations infrastructure.
What You Will Do Provide direct daily supervision of evening Equipment & Yard Technicians, setting clear expectations, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth operations. Coordinate and execute daily equipment readiness tasks, including:
Washing and detailing trucks and equipment. Checking and topping off fluids on all equipment and vehicles. Greasing machines and staging gear for the next day's work. Moving, loading, and strapping vehicles and equipment safely.
Build and implement systems and checklists to standardize equipment inspection and readiness procedures. Monitor equipment condition and flag issues to the mechanic team. Utilize project management software to track and close out tasks tied to the next day's project lineup. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment, including basic facility upkeep. Collaborate with mechanics and field supervisors to resolve readiness gaps or process breakdowns.
What You Will Need to Be Successful Must be available to work full-time, 2nd shift
(2:00-10:00pm Sunday-Thursday) . 1+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead role in a shop, yard, or fleet support environment. Hands-on experience operating and moving large equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, tractors, or skid loaders on Company property. Comfortable leading a team while working alongside them. Strong organizational skills and an eye for process improvement. Confidence creating and implementing new procedures (e.g., pre-load checklists, equipment tracking systems). Ability to manage time and shift priorities based on daily needs and field schedules. Clear, proactive communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements throughout the shift. Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.).
MNL requires all selected applicants who accept a job offer with the company to complete a pre-employment background check and motor vehicle records (MVR) search. All hired employees are also subject to random drug testing under our zero tolerance drug & alcohol policy.
