About the Opportunity: Join a leading manufacturer in the electrical and power management industry as a CNC-focused Maintenance Repair Technician on 2nd shift. This is a hands-on opportunity at a high-tech facility in Syracuse, where you'll apply both mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain and troubleshoot advanced CNC equipment. Ideal for mechanically inclined professionals with a background in industrial maintenance and machining.
What Youll Do: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on CNC and industrial machinery. Tear down, inspect, and rebuild machines following safety and operational standards. Troubleshoot electrical systems using ladder logic, schematics, and testing procedures. Conduct electrical test operations and make necessary adjustments for performance. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across various production equipment. Interpret complex blueprints, manuals, and circuit diagrams. Communicate abnormal equipment conditions to supervisors. Support production continuity by ensuring minimal machine downtime. Use sound judgment when working from instructions, procedures, or schematics. Work from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
What You Bring: High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 3 years manufacturing maintenance experience (or 1 year with a relevant technical degree or military background) Proficiency in reading ladder logic and industrial motor control schematics CNC maintenance and troubleshooting experience required Background in machining and electrical systems strongly preferred Experience with hydraulics is a plus Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
