CNC Maintenance Repair Technician

Currently seeking a Maintenance Repair Technician (CNC) - 2nd Shift. This position is based at our Syracuse, New York facility with core hours of 2:30pm to 11:00pm.
What you'll do: • Tear down, determine extent of troubles, repair damaged electrical or mechanical mechanism or replace worn or defective parts and reassemble following standard and prescribed safety regulations. • Need a basic understanding of PLC logic and machine programming (Mcode/Gcode) • djust equipment to required specification and check to assure effective operation. • Check sequence of machine cycle, determine type of machine malfunction, make all necessary repairs applying machine repair theory along with electrical theory. • Perform electrical test operations. • Work from complex schematic diagrams, manuals and testing procedures. • Troubleshoot all defective printed circuit assembly boards. • Perform similar or associated electrical or mechanical duties as directed. • Detect and report all unusual cases to proper supervision. • Use of judgment to comply with instructions or prescribed routines and to make decisions.
Required (Basic) Qualifications: • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution • Journeymen or three (3) years of documented CNC repair maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade • Experience with ladder logic circuit diagrams, industrial motor control schematics, and blueprint reading • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future • Must currently reside within 50 miles of the Syracuse facility.
Preferred qualifications: • Four (4) years or more of documented CNC repair maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade preferred • Background in machining and electrical equipment • Two-year degree in electronics with mechanical experience/Military electronics experience. • Experience with hydraulics
