Position Summary
*Applicant Must Reside in Georgia with the ability to be on campus on selected days
The Program Coordinator will provide administrative and professional support for the Dean of Online Education and the online department related to 3 primary areas: administrative, budget and departmental improvement. The Program Coordinator will manage key items like the budget of multiple programs, lead research for new programs and presentations, manage projects through Excel or project management tools, and assist with travel, event planning, and purchasing.
Essential Qualifications:
Works independently on the majority of assigned tasks to resolve daily problems using judgment and sound solutions while being mindful of policies and procedures. Performs work on projects with varied complexity. Engages in a broad range of interpersonal contacts. Other duties as assigned.
Administrative:
Supports the Assistant Dean in the ongoing assessment process by coordinating surveys, collecting data, developing reports, and engaging in the improvement of program outcomes
Manage calendar and appointments, create and manage team communications to ensure projects are moving forward on time and within budget
Coordinate travel, events, and conferences
Manage budget for online departments, which includes all programs, track spending and other expenses of 8 programs, including grants
Help generate and organize/all documentation. Maintain confidentiality in all processes, including financial papers
Takes minutes and disseminates as required
Present monthly updates with the team regarding expenses
Create and provide reports and presentations on the data collected for projects requested
Faculty:
Manage the evaluations of teaching faculty to schedule appointments to ensure all faculty evaluations are completed
Inform leadership on policy updates and communicate with faculty and curriculum committees regarding timelines.
Work to help onboard new faculty
Department Support:
Sit on Scholarship Committee; provide feedback on proposed initiatives, coordinate with staff as support needs arise, and make sure award letters are distributed
Lead the coordination of functions such as student events, workshops, and conferences, including travel, lodging, meals, etc.
Develop and organize processes that will enhance the current online infrastructure, including reporting
Provide research for current events that impact new programs or presentations that have to be done
Help to provide market research for developing new programs
Skills and Experience:
Self-starter who takes initiative with a customer service spirit. Clerical and administrative support experience in an academic environment at a university level is preferred. Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills to ensure effective communication with a wide audience (e.g., students, academic administrators, faculty, sponsoring agency representatives, and the general public). Knowledge and experience using Excel is required. The use of Excel for data tracking, budgeting, and/or project management.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education, curriculum or related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
3-5 years of office and/or program management
3-5 years of writing to complete projects and reports
Comfortable with the creating content and navigating social media
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree preferred from a regionally accredited college or university.
