Koniag Data Solutions, LLC, is seeking a skilled TALEND Developer to design and implement data integration solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate has strong technical abilities in data integration, transformation, and migration using the TALEND platform. You will work in a collaborative team environment to develop ETL processes that meet business requirements and ensure data quality and consistency. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while solving complex data challenges.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

As a TALEND Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions using the TALEND platform. Your primary focus will be on implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to facilitate data movement between various source and target systems. Principal responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Design, develop, and implement ETL solutions using TALEND to meet business and technical requirements

Create data flows, transformations, and integrations between multiple data sources and targets

Optimize TALEND jobs for performance, reliability, and maintainability

Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues and performance bottlenecks

Create and maintain technical documentation for all TALEND jobs and processes

Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements

Work with database administrators to ensure proper data structures and optimize SQL queries

Implement data quality checks and validation rules within ETL processes

Support the deployment of TALEND jobs across development, testing, and production environments

Maintain version control of TALEND components and jobs

Stay current with new releases and features of TALEND products

Education and Experience:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

3+ years of experience in ETL development using TALEND

Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies

Experience with SQL and relational database management systems

Required Skills and Competencies:

Proficiency in TALEND Open Studio, TALEND Data Integration, or TALEND Big Data platforms

Experience developing Enterprise Data Catalogs

Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions

Experience working with various database systems including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL

Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB

Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, Perl) for automation and data processing

Experience with various data formats including XML, JSON, CSV, and flat files

Knowledge of REST and SOAP web services and API integration

Understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques

Experience with source control management tools (Git, SVN)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams

Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality and accuracy

Ability to obtain public trust clearance

Desired Skills and Competencies:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field

TALEND certifications (TALEND Certified Developer, TALEND Certified Architect)

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services

Knowledge of data governance and compliance requirements

Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive)

Experience working in a federal government IT environment

Knowledge of Agile development methodologies

Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)

Understanding of machine learning concepts and data preparation for analytics

Experience with CI/CD pipelines for ETL processes

Knowledge of data streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis)
