Volt is hiring a CNC Programmer in Tracy, Ca
As a CNC Programmer you will :
Have technical knowledge of CNC turning centers, lathes and milling equipment and will work with and coach a talented team of machinist that are eager to learn more about the machining trade. Team Leader role has an opportunity to build a cohesive and collaborative environment that enables the team and the company to achieve our strategic goals.
This is a Full Time Temp to Hire Opportunity!
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
The Ideal candidate will have :

  • Can read blueprints and specs to create CNC programs.
  • Skilled in operating CNC and manual mills and lathes.
  • Knows how to plan machining steps and ensure accuracy.
  • Keeps production on schedule and within cost targets.
  • Assigns tasks based on team skills and available resources.
  • Guides team members through setup and machining processes.
  • Troubleshoots machine and tooling issues quickly.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace using 5S methods.
  • Builds and trains a strong, efficient team.
  • Follows company policies and handles discipline when needed.
  • Helps evaluate job roles and suggest improvements.
  • Works with leadership to improve processes, reduce costs, and maintain equipment.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience as a skilled machinist.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • High school or vocational school graduate.
  • Completed apprenticeship or equivalent training.
  • Supervisory training is a plus.
  • Familiar with tools, dies, gauges, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Experience with manual mills, lathes, and grinders.
  • Excellent math and blueprint reading skills.
  • Able to read and speak English.
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs.
  • SolidWorks experience is a bonus.
Pay: $24-$30 Per hour
The pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidates education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
