American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring a valid RN license, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications, and expertise in critical neurological care.Job Details•Work in a Neuro ICU within a short-term acute care, Magnet, Level I Trauma, and teaching hospital,•Patient population includes ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, neuromuscular and seizure disorders, CNS infections, head trauma, and post-surgical neuro cases,•Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2,•Care for patients with advanced monitoring including ICP (EVDs/bolts), CRRT, vasoactive medications, and spinal precautions,•Required to work night shifts (4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) with every other weekend,•May be required to float within the hospital or to affiliated locations within scope,•Uses Epic EMR; Epic charting experience required,•No on-call requirements,Job Requirements•Active RN license (MO or Compact); pending license accepted in MO only,•Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required,•Current ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS certifications required,•Must pass a Relias EKG exam with ability to interpret/manage dysrhythmias,•Ability to manage central/arterial lines and ICP monitoring equipment,•Epic EMR charting experience required,•Willingness to complete 10 hours of stroke education during orientation,•Applicants must reside outside a 75-mile radius; locals not accepted,•Permanent former employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler,Additional Information•Daily duties include comprehensive neuro assessment, management of complex neurocritical care cases, and titration of vasoactive drugs,•First-time travelers are welcome to apply,•All travelers will float within the neuro service line as needed,•No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract; no time off permitted during the first week,•Navy blue scrubs required,•Night shift parking available at no charge; day/night rotation requires a parking pass with a monthly fee,•Completion of hospital modules during pre-start/orientation is required,•Travelers may remain for 18 months before requiring a 3-month break,),•hash,:•744541029561757850,
